| |  | Most of the community knows about the \"last minute\" call for drafts that was held at FTZ, many posted up that it was last minute and there was no time to train. Despite that fact, for those whose dreams are more important than such hurdles and was willing to take the time to come forth and enter the trials and take on all comers, they became KL Taufan.
However, this article is not about those the team itself but about the individuals and companies who backed and supported this team. Their selfless support was felt by the the team and in a selfish world, a truly rare selfless experience. Therefore this article is posted as an acknowledgment of their contribution to KL Taufan. Eligibility
The CGS 2008 KL Taufan Trials is open to all individuals aged 18 and above. For the 4 different games, the criteria is as follows:
Counter-Strike: Source - Registration as a Team of 5
FIFA '08 - Registration as an Individual
DoA 4 Male/Female - Registration as an Individual
Forza Motorsport 2 - Registration as an Individual

The selections for the Malaysian team will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of March at FTZ cybercafé in Subang .
The selection process will be for the KL Taufan team which will consist of 5 players for Counterstrike Source, 1 player for Fifa, 2 players for Forza 2 and 2 players for DOA 4 (1 male + 1 female).
Selected players will be flown to China for Pan Asian trials in April, all expenses paid to represent Malaysia in taking on Korea, Singapore, Dubai, Australia and China. The top two teams out of these 6 county representatives will win a lucrative USD30,000 annual contract per player to play professionally and a berth for the grand finals in the United States and a USD1000,000 purse.
